Attachment & Dating

Different person. Same ending.
This is how you stop repeating it.

You know your patterns. You’ve probably read the attachment books. Maybe even done some therapy. Perhaps you’ve even asked AI. And still — when they pull away, go quiet, send mixed signals, or get too close — you’re right back in it. Same confusion, same overthinking, same pain. This is a founding live cohort with a clinical psychologist: the whole series, worked through live — what to actually do in the moment it matters.

Founding live cohort Live with a clinical psychologist Clinical, skills-based Worldwide · AU/NZ-friendly times first

Live, real-time access · founding rate

These are educational, skills-based programs. They are not therapy, treatment, or personalised clinical care, and don’t create a therapeutic relationship.

  • “They’ve gone quiet — do I text, or do I wait?
  • “They pulled away out of nowhere. What do I actually do?
  • “Why do I keep being drawn to the same kind of person?
  • “Am I overreacting, or is this a real red flag?
  • “Should I keep seeing them — or is this going where it always goes?
  • “Why do I lose interest the moment someone actually wants me?
  • “I want something real — so why do I keep pulling away when I get close?
  • “I want them, then I don’t, then I do — and I can’t explain any of it.

These are the moments dating actually turns on. This series is built to answer them — not in theory, but in the moment.

This isn’t about becoming less emotional. It’s about becoming less confused.

So you stop spending months on dynamics that were never going to work — and start making the calls that protect your peace, your standards, and your future.

  • —Months, sometimes years, given to people who were never really available
  • —Staying too long because chemistry felt like compatibility
  • —Walking away from steady, available people because steady felt unfamiliar
  • —Losing yourself trying to “get it right”
  • —And quietly, over time — the belief settling in that love is unstable, unsafe, or something you have to earn
  • ✓You keep ending up in intense, inconsistent dynamics
  • ✓You overthink early dating and struggle to trust your read
  • ✓You keep being drawn to people who can’t quite meet you
  • ✓You stay too long because you can see the potential
  • ✓Closeness makes you anxious — or makes you want to run
  • ✓You lose interest or pull away once someone is clearly interested in you
  • ✓You want depth but find yourself keeping people at a careful distance
  • ✓You cycle between wanting someone and feeling suffocated — sometimes within the same week
  • ✓Dating feels more exhausting than exciting

Not dating tips. A way to make the call in real time.

Most dating advice tells you to “communicate clearly,” “know your worth,” “set boundaries” — and leaves you exactly where you started, because it never tells you what to do when you’re actually in it: activated, uncertain, and about to send the text you’ll regret.

This is different. It isn’t theory pulled from a textbook — it’s shaped by years of clinical work, by sitting with the same patterns and the same stories again and again, so what you’re learning reflects how attachment actually plays out in real relationships, not just how it reads on a page. It’s the difference between picking this up from an article and learning it from a clinical psychologist who works with these patterns every day.

It’s built around a repeatable sequence you can use in the moment: identify what is happening in you, make sense of the dynamic in front of you, and choose the response that moves you toward what you actually want. Drawing on well-established models of attachment and emotional regulation, it translates insight into decisions rather than leaving it as theory.

That’s the difference between “communicate better” and “here’s what to say, and what to hold, when they pull away.” Real decisions, real scripts, for the situations you actually hit.

The same move lands differently depending on who’s on the other end

Here’s what generic advice misses entirely: the right response depends on the person in front of you. “Communicate clearly and honestly” is great with a secure partner — it’s welcomed, and it draws them closer. Say the exact same thing to someone avoidant and it can do the opposite: make them retreat, or pull away anyway, because distance is what they’re used to.

And here’s the part that quietly wrecks people: if you’re anxious and you finally did the clear, honest thing — and it still didn’t work — you walk away certain you got it wrong, that you’re not enough, that even doing it right wasn’t sufficient. When the truth is the move just didn’t fit the person. This series teaches you to read which pattern you’re dealing with and respond in the way that actually works for it — not a single script you apply to everyone and hope.

Which one sounds like you?

“Anxious,” “avoidant,” “disorganised” — too broad to be useful. Here’s where most people actually recognise themselves:

Anxious doesn’t always look the same.

  • Reassurance-seeking — “I need to know where I stand.”
  • Rumination — “I replay everything.”
  • Reactive — “I know I shouldn’t send it. But I do.”

Avoidant isn’t always detachment.

  • Dismissive — “I lose interest when they get close.”
  • Closeness-discomfort — “I want it, until it feels real.”
  • Suppressed-needs — “I tell myself I don’t need much.”

Disorganised isn’t confusion. It’s conflict.

  • Push-pull — “I want them, then I panic.”
  • Controlled — “I keep the upper hand.”
  • Collapse — “I disappear when it matters.”

If one of those landed a little too hard — that’s the pattern this series teaches you to read and respond to.

Attachment patterns are a powerful starting point — but they’re one layer of a bigger picture. How you respond is also shaped by emotional regulation, past experience, and the specific dynamic in front of you. This series goes beyond attachment alone: it’s about understanding how those layers interact, and what to do with them.

What the cohort works through

The founding cohort works through this entire series live, with Isabella — real-time, your own situations mapped in the room, direct answers as it unfolds. The self-paced modules are built from these sessions and released afterward. Everyone who comes later gets the modules. Only the founding cohort gets the live room. The series moves through four stages — from understanding yourself, to the situations you’re living, to the patterns underneath, to the decisions that protect you.

1

Understand yourself

Your attachment pattern and the hidden dynamics underneath it.

2

The situations

Distance, mixed signals, spiralling, early red flags, unavailability.

3

Turning inward

Why you stay too long, why you pull away, how push-pull forms.

4

Where it lands

Boundaries, standards, and knowing when to leave.

Each topic stands on its own. Module 1 is the best place to start, but it isn’t required — many people begin with the moment they’re in and come back for the foundation once they see how much sits underneath it. In the founding cohort, the full series is worked through live; the self-paced modules follow, built from those sessions.

Start here — the foundation

★ Best place to start

Module 1 · The Pattern Map

Know the patterns: yours, theirs, and what happens between

The foundation. Understand your attachment pattern, the hidden subtype underneath it, and why you keep feeling drawn to the same dynamics. Learn how your nervous system, past experiences and relational habits shape attraction — and how to recognise your pattern before it runs the show.

Outcome: recognise your pattern in real time.

The situations you’re living

Module 2 · When They Pull Away

When someone goes distant, most people panic, chase, or shut down. This module teaches you how to understand withdrawal, tell healthy space from emotional unavailability, and know what to do instead of reacting from fear.

Outcome: respond without chasing.

Module 3 · The Spiral

Texting, waiting, overthinking

For the moments after you’ve sent the message and can’t stop checking. Learn how to regulate the nervous system, interrupt rumination, and stop letting uncertainty hijack your behaviour.

Outcome: regulate before reacting.

Module 4 · Mixed Signals

Hot one day, distant the next. Understand why inconsistency feels so addictive, how mixed signals hook attachment systems, and how to stop confusing uncertainty for connection.

Outcome: tell confusion from connection.

Module 5 · Spotting an Avoidant Early

Reading interest, inconsistency & emotional availability

Before you’re emotionally invested. Learn how to recognise avoidant patterns early — before you confuse distance for mystery, inconsistency for chemistry, or emotional unavailability for “taking it slow.” This module teaches you how to read pacing, reciprocity, mixed signals, and the subtle signs that someone may not be able to meet you relationally — before you’re already attached.

Outcome: assess early, attach later.

Turning inward — your own patterns

Module 6 · Why You Stay Too Long

For the relationships you know aren’t working — but can’t seem to leave. Understand what keeps you attached to unavailable people, and why potential can be one of the hardest things to let go of.

Outcome: understand why you stay — and how to leave.

Module 7 · When You Pull Away

For the people who lose interest once closeness becomes real. Learn how deactivation works, why intimacy can trigger withdrawal, and how to tell fear from actual incompatibility.

Outcome: recognise when distance is defence.

Module 8 · Push-Pull Dynamics

Wanting closeness and fearing it at the same time. This module breaks down the internal conflict behind unstable relationship patterns and helps you understand the cycle before it repeats.

Outcome: understand the cycle beneath the chaos.

The decision layer

Module 9 · Standards, Boundaries & Leaving

The final decision layer

Learn how to define your standards, trust your boundaries, and make clearer decisions about when to stay, when to pause, and when to walk away.

Outcome: make decisions that protect you.

Bring it into real life: Live Scenario Sessions

The founding cohort works through the series live

Knowing the material and using it under pressure are two different things. In a Live Scenario Session, the psychologist works through common dating situations — they pull back, you feel the urge to text, the signals are mixed — mapping each one from trigger to response, then what to do instead. Skills become much easier to apply once you’ve practised them against real situations rather than simply understanding them in theory.

It’s structured and practical, focused on common scenarios and decision-making, with the chance to ask questions and clarify how to apply the skills. You can submit scenarios in advance so the session is as relevant as possible. Questions are answered at the level of patterns that come up for many people — it’s skill-building, not therapy or personal processing.

The Full Series founding cohort is delivered live — the whole series worked through with Isabella in real time. The $1,297 cohort adds two dedicated Scenario Sessions — one to get you started, one further in, once you’ve had the material playing out in real life. Live runs in AU/NZ-friendly timezones first; registering your interest from another region is how we decide which timezones to open next.

Want it about you specifically? A 60-minute 1:1 Personal Session with the clinical psychologist is available as an add-on — a focused, personalised analysis of your own pattern: your style and sub-type, the specific pain points you keep hitting and what they mean for you, how it plays out across your situations, and your questions answered directly. Like everything here, it’s educational and applied analysis rather than therapy; if what you need is ongoing therapeutic support, you’ll be pointed in the right direction.

What you’ll be able to do

  • ✓Catch yourself before sending the text you’ll regret
  • ✓Tell the difference between healthy space and someone who’s genuinely unavailable
  • ✓Notice when you’re over-functioning for someone who’s under-invested
  • ✓Recognise when attraction is really just familiarity
  • ✓Read what’s likely driving the other person — and respond to the pattern in front of you
  • ✓Get clearer on when to lean in, when to pause, and when to walk away

Why this, when therapy exists?

Some people want to understand their pattern without going to therapy at all. That’s exactly what this is for — a clear way to see how your pattern works and what to do with it, on your own terms.

And if you have been to therapy, you might know this as the piece that never quite got the time — the deeper relational pattern that kept getting deferred behind whatever was more urgent that week. So it keeps coming back. This gives you that piece directly.

Educational, not therapy. But often the thing that finally makes the pattern make sense.

What repeating it actually costs

  • —months, sometimes years, in dynamics that were never going to work
  • —your peace
  • —your confidence
  • —your ability to trust yourself
  • —the version of you that keeps shrinking to keep something going

This isn’t about “getting someone.” It’s about understanding yourself sooner, making clearer decisions earlier, and stepping out of patterns before they cost you more.

Imagine dating without:

  • —spiralling every time they go quiet
  • —mistaking mixed signals for chemistry
  • —abandoning yourself to keep someone
  • —walking away from what’s actually good because it felt unfamiliar

Just knowing what you feel, what it means, and what to do next. That’s what this is for.

No. Every topic stands alone — you can register for a single module or any three. The Full Series is where the founding cohort works through everything live with Isabella, in real time; single and three-module registrations receive the self-paced modules as they’re built from those sessions. Module 1 (The Pattern Map) is the best place to start because it’s the foundation everything else builds on, but it isn’t required.
That’s exactly what the foundational module covers — and you don’t need to have it figured out first. Most people are a mix, or shift depending on who they’re with. The point isn’t to label yourself; it’s to recognise the pattern as it happens and know what to do.
No. These are educational, skills-based programs, and the live and 1:1 sessions are about applying the material — not therapy or treatment, and they don’t create an ongoing therapeutic relationship. If you’re looking for therapeutic support, you’ll be pointed toward appropriate options.
No — and that’s deliberate. It’s about understanding yourself, reading dynamics accurately, and responding in a way that leads to better outcomes for you and the other person. It’s about responding effectively and honestly, not controlling anyone.
No. It covers all the patterns — anxious, avoidant, disorganised, secure — including how to recognise them in the people you’re dating. Plenty of people take it as much to understand others as themselves.
No, and the series is careful about that. Attachment is a powerful starting point and it explains a great deal, but not everything. Sometimes withdrawal is not avoidance. Sometimes inconsistency says more about the other person’s circumstances than their attachment pattern. And sometimes you do not need to work out why someone behaved that way in order to decide what their behaviour means for you. The series uses attachment as the organising framework while staying honest about where it stops.
Once the self-paced modules are released, you’ll have access to each for 2 months from your first login — enough time to work through it at your own pace and apply it in real dating situations as they come up.
Yes. The live founding cohort runs online, in AU/NZ-friendly timezones first — and registering your interest from another region is how we decide which timezones to open next, so do tell us where you are. The self-paced modules that follow are available worldwide. Prices are in AUD.
