What Applied Brain Co is — and isn’t

All Applied Brain Co products are educational. They are structured psychoeducation and professional education informed by evidence-based psychology. They are not therapy, psychological treatment, counselling, or clinical supervision. Purchasing or completing any Applied Brain Co product does not create a therapeutic or clinical relationship between you and Isabella Lay or Applied Brain Co.

Programs offered for practitioners are professional education. They are not clinical supervision, and do not constitute supervision toward registration or accreditation with any professional body. They do not replace case-specific supervision, your own service’s procedures, or emergency protocols.

If you need clinical or therapeutic support, please seek care from a registered health professional. Isabella’s clinical practice is at isabellalaypsychology.com.au.

Applied Brain Co products are intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Payments

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated. Full payment is required to secure your place or access a product.

Applied Brain Co does not offer, administer or extend payment plans, instalments or credit of any kind. If a buy-now-pay-later or instalment option such as Afterpay or Zip appears at checkout, it is offered by an independent payment provider, not by Applied Brain Co. You are welcome to use it. Any such arrangement is between you and that provider, subject to its own terms, eligibility and fees, and Applied Brain Co has no involvement in it. Applied Brain Co receives your payment in full at the time of purchase.

When you purchase a product, payment is processed by a third-party provider. We do not store your payment card details.

Applied Brain Co products are professional education and psychoeducation. They do not attract Medicare rebates or private health insurance rebates.

Cancellations, transfers and refunds

Live programs

Places in live programs are limited and are confirmed on payment.

More than fourteen days before the first session, you may transfer once to another scheduled cohort, transfer to another Applied Brain Co offering where one is available, or request a refund.

Within fourteen days of the first session, places are non-refundable. If another live cohort or an equivalent offering is available at that time, we may be able to transfer you, subject to availability. This cannot be guaranteed.

Optional add-on sessions

Optional add-on sessions purchased alongside a live program, such as a consolidation session held after the program, may be refunded or transferred at any time before that session runs.

If we change or cancel

If Applied Brain Co reschedules or cancels a live program, you may transfer to the next available offering or receive a full refund.

Missed sessions

If you are unable to attend a session, contact us at hello@appliedbrainco.com. Where an equivalent session is scheduled, you may be able to join that group live. Any such arrangement is at Applied Brain Co’s discretion and depends on what is scheduled at the time. We do not guarantee that an alternative will be available, and live sessions are not recorded.

Self-paced products

Where a self-paced product is purchased and access has been granted, that purchase is not refundable, except where a remedy is required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection laws. If a product is not as described, is not fit for purpose, or is otherwise faulty, you may be entitled to a remedy regardless of the arrangements set out above.

Access

Live programs

Attendance is for the individual registered participant only and is non-transferable to another person, unless agreed in writing in advance.

Live sessions are not recorded or distributed. Practice activities, breakout discussions and participant contributions are never recorded.

Self-paced products

Where Applied Brain Co offers self-paced online modules, access is available for two months from the date of first login unless stated otherwise at purchase. Access is for the individual purchaser only and is non-transferable.

Both

Sharing login credentials or distributing program materials is a breach of these terms and may result in access being revoked without refund.

Participation in live programs

Live programs may include practice activities, case discussion and participant contributions.

Participants in live programs are required to agree to confidentiality terms before the program begins. This includes keeping what other participants share within the program, de-identifying any clinical material discussed, and not recording or distributing any part of the program.

Participants remain responsible for their own professional obligations, including confidentiality, record-keeping and their own service’s procedures.

Certificates record completion and the stated active learning hours. They do not certify assessed clinical competence. Practitioners remain responsible for determining how an activity meets their own continuing professional development requirements, which vary by profession, registering body and jurisdiction.

Live sessions

Live session dates and times are as stated at purchase. If we need to reschedule a live session, you will be offered a place at the rescheduled time or, if you cannot attend, a place in the next equivalent cohort. Session times are stated in Australian Eastern Time unless otherwise indicated.

Intellectual property

All content, frameworks, tools, and materials produced by Applied Brain Co remain the intellectual property of Isabella Lay and Applied Brain Co. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share any content without written permission.

Materials provided as part of a program are for your own professional or personal use. You may use what you learn in your own practice. You may not reproduce, adapt or deliver Applied Brain Co materials or frameworks as training for others.

Limitation of liability

Applied Brain Co provides educational content and makes no guarantee of specific outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, Applied Brain Co and Isabella Lay accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of any Applied Brain Co content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version current at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. The current version is always available at this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
